Thumbs up Just Learned

I don't know if this has been posted or not but figure I would throw it out here in case someone like me is reading this. Glass jars with Chinchilla Dust make GREAT dust baths for the gerbils! My two girls LOVED it and when I went to give another pair the same "toy" the boy just kicked out all the dust but the girls love it! Hope that helps someone!

I got this stuff for my gerbils (I just have one gerbil now) before and they loved loved loved it. It is so cute seing them roll around in it, it is like they are swimming in it, and the expressions on there faces you can tell it is so refreshing for them.

Yeah. Dust bath is good. It's crucial for degus, but desert creatures looove it.

Actually I just recently found out that Chinchilla Sand is better because dust can cause RI in younger and older gerbils. I have never had a problem with it but I am switching to sand so I won't have to worry about it. I originally heard that sand would hurt their skin but when I asked the person again to specify they said it only happened if you left it in there for a long time. Does that answer your question.

She did it again...I put some sand in Ember's cage yesterday and she ate it once again.I dunno how I could prevent her from eating it and having her actually use it...

It will just take some time. Mine ate it at first too just leave it in there and use it only when her fur is messed up
