Oh that's sort of a cute idea.
I haven't heard of doing that! The only thing is that if your hamster/mouse/whatever is a chewer... I don't know how safe the legos are

When I went to the San Diego Zoo they had a HUGE tank with mice and a giant house made from a loaf of bread, all carved into shelves and windows and everything

I made my mice a lego house before!! It was fun and possibilities are ENDLESS meaning it keeps the little ones well occupied! Just be careful they will chew if it's left in the cage.

I used to make lego stuff for my hamster when i was younger. houses, bridges, cars etc. They never chewed them much. And there great cuz you can wash them easy. Just soak them in hot water with vinegar. Last week i found my old box of legos and tried to make a maze for my mouse! lol it was fun, but i found out i dont have nearly as many legos as i thought i did! i used up all of mine, and the walls are still too short she can climb over them, the lil cheater!

This is posted in the hamster gerbil section, so i dont know which you have. I know gerbils chew alot more then mice and hamsters, so if you leave anything in there cage you'll wanna check it often to see if there chewing it. I dont think it would hurt them honestly if they chew it a tiny bit, (i know little kids swallow them all the time haha) but if there really chewing on it i would take it out and just build stuff for them to play on when there out. Have fun, and post pics if ya can!!
