32? Wow, and I thought the 10 I have are already quite the handful! How do you have them separated? I have them in four aquarium tanks as 3 females, 2 males, 2 males, 3 males. I would've preferred to have all the males living together, or at least have 3 + 4, but since they're so territorial it doesn't seem like there's any way to get them to live together.
I had 6 together for a while - 2 adult females and one of their litters (1 female and 3 males) but I had to move the males out as soon as they were ready to be weaned so I wouldn't end up with extra litters. I really liked having a bigger colony together in one cage, since they'd sleep in big piles and there'd be more gerbil interaction.
Really, I'd like to maybe have a few more litters and see if I can't separate the young ones of the same sex into one big colony, but I really don't have the space for it - the four 20G tanks already take up a good amount of space.
