My mom got the wrong food but?

My mom made a mistake and bought Pigger food for the gerbils, but the thing is, I gave them some (took out the pellets) and they like it better then their food. Taking out the pellets, the ingrediants are Dried Papaya, Banana, Apple, Nuts, Sunflower seeds, and alot of other fruit and nuts, is it okay for them to eat it? If not i'll get them their gerbil food first thing tomorrow morning.

my name is Jonni,
i'm weird for making my username

I am not positive on this, but I don't think so. It has too much vitamin C in it for your gerbils. I think they would be better off with regular gerbil food.

Forgot that part If they seem to like it, then it would make a great treat!

Ugh, that's a terrible guinea pig food, they should never have seeds and nuts and things. Too much vitamin C should not hurt your gerbil if you're using it as a treat. Vitamin C is water soluble.

I wouldn't continue feeding it as a main diet. It lacks essential bits that only gerbil food would give

thats gunna make your gerbils too fat if you give it to the all the time. Plus theres too much water in all that food, so they wouldnt drink enough water. But if you give it too them for treats, that would be okay
