Exclamation Need help ASAP missing baby!

Our hamster just had a litter of three babies 3-4 weeks ago and today when I checked on them one was completely missing!! The first thing I checked for was blood or guts or bone in case it was eaten but there is no sign of any of those things, I suppose it could have gotten out but it is highly unlikely and I have no idea how that would have happened. So my question is, is it possible that the mother would eat a perfectly healthy(as far as I know) 3-4 week old baby and have there be no sign of it? Meaning she could eat the baby whole bones and all when the baby is almost as big as her. Otherwise where on earth could my baby have disappeared to?

Was the cage left open at all? This is going to sound nuts, but mine got out once, went into the crawl space and actually got into a pipe and into our walls. Don't ask how, but we got him out.

Did you check all the cracks and crevices in your home? They're quick little ones.

I read they know how to open doors or you can train them for that

Have you trained him how to open a door?
Was the door open when you found out he was missing?
