Exclamation Shocking discovery

So the past couple of days ive been a lil busy with work and havent been able to hold my two gerbils Chip and Dale. Tonight I decided to take them out and give them some attention. I then discovered that one gerbil has a missing tip of his toe, and the other has a bloody mouth! I have no idea what to think or do about this, are they fighting? Are they trying to get out of the cage? Please help!

The funny thing is, ive seen them fight before for all of half a min and once they are done they cuddle up together, they have never been apart. They are brothers and ive never seperated them except to take them out to play.

My 2 sisters fought and then snuggled up tpgether at night. I had to seperate them, cause the smallest had a nasty wound. The bigger sister wasnt very happy for a while, she missed her little sis!
