Arrow SPOOKY RIGHT EYE! Photos!

Many weeks after I got her her right eye, already almost 50% bigger than her left, got what looks like a cataract. She is fine, I just have to remember she is blind on the right side and I shouldn't surprise her by touching on that side.

Anyone ever have an eye suddenly look like this? A dwarf, Jerry, once had an enlarged eye that was entirely cloudy, and then vanished! He got along fine for the rest of his life with one eye.

Very strange, and she isn't old?
I think it looks kind of neat, gives her character

No, she is not old. I doubt if old hamsters survive long in a pet store! I got her several months ago when I saw her biten on the belly in the store. A little bacitracin ointment and she was fine. She also had a slight case of the runs, but some Dry Tail medication took care of that too.

My friend has a dog that was born with cataracts in both eyes and is completly blind. Poor dog's not even a year old, but she sure gets around with no problems.

Her eye might have been injured or has become injured and may need opthimalic (sp) ointment. That is what my piggies eyes look like if they've been poked by hay or gotten into a fight. She may need a vet visit.
