Swollen foot

I found my dwarf hamster today with her leg stuck between the cage bars. Her foot looks terrible (she can't walk without staggering), but I can't take her to the vet (apparently, none of the guys over there have any knowledge whatsoever of how to treat rodents).
What should I do? ;_; I read somewhere that sodium bicarbonate is good for swollen feet.

If it's swollen I'm sure it will go down on its own. Doesn't sound like an injury or anything; just let nature take its course.

I never herd off useing that before!
I had a hamster who's leg went double the size. Found out it was the fluff wrapping its self round his leg, in the end he had to have it taken off. He survived!! But i dont think he ever realised it was gone! lol
