Tips to wear down a hamster's nails??

Midget's nails are starting to over-grow... Her cage is like an obsticle course with rocks in there, too. I exercise her everyday; going up the carpet stairs, letting her climb over me, running around in her play pen... how could her nails over-grow and how do I wear them down??
Thanks =)

You could always clip them. If you're nervous about doing it, your vet should be able to help .

Go to Lowes and find a little brick stone (like the kind people put on their patios) and put it underneath the waterbottle.

To wear my rats,mice and gerbil's nails down I put rocks into their cages for climbing and it keeps their nails at a reasonable length...however I agree with Sesami, if you are afraid to trim the nails yourself and they are getting long,then a vet certainly can help you...

The brick didn't really wear them down so I clipped them.
Thanks for the help =)

I Never Thought Of The Nails With My Gerbils But They Are More Scratchy Now So I Think I Am Going To Look Into That. Not Sand Paper Though They Would Eat It Up Lol
