Unhappy Uh-oh!

I think Shamrock is dying!

He isn't doing anything and is cold!!! He is very lethargic!
He is only 9 weeks old and I only had him for a week! He appeared healthy and was eating/drinking normally!!!!

There is no way I can get to a vet tonight! I don't know what to do!?
The emergency vet is far from me,meaning I would need a taxi...my daughter is in bed and I cannot get a sitter this late on spur of the moment!

What should I do!?

My goodness. I'm so sorry Vanillarat. I remember you saying he didn't do much all week, I 'm wondering if that /was/ an indication he wasn't feeling well...? Poor little Shamrock.

Yeah I am wondering that now too...
He was eating/drinking,but sleeping the whole time.He was never out of his nest except to eat and drink.I should of took him to the vet then! But people told me (I am not blaming anyone) he was probably sleeping more because he is young...which made alot of sense to me.And since he had no symptoms I just thought that was it.

I guess there was something wrong inside/internally.
Poor little guy.

Thank you.

I am sad about it,but I guess it is good I never had him longer and bonded with him yet, because I am sure it would be alot harder. It is still sad though.

I'm sorry, I thought he was gonna be okay, too. From what you said, it just sounded like he was acting like any young hamster - sleeping a lot.

I'm so sorry for your loss .

I had a hamster like that, too. I adopted him and he seemed healthy but he suddenly died after I had him for a little under two weeks with no symptoms . He was a sweetie, too .
