After much debating and doing a lot of research before we got our puppy, I decided to feed Logan Nature's Variety. I can't say enough great things about this diet. I rotate between the kibble, canned and raw and Logan is doing wonderful. I was torn between this diet and Timberwolf Organics but there isn't a store in my state that carried Timberwolf.
Thanks for the tip, Denise. There's a place here that delivers high quality dog food that I'll be signing up for when I move to the new place. They have the canned and raw varieties of this but no dry. They DO have Timberwolf Organics dry though, so I'll probably use that and the canned and raw portions of the Nature's Variety now that I've had a look. I'm hoping it'll help with Gumbo's suspected allergies (I haven't yet tested him, our Dermatologist opened his own practice in another state. Hmph!).
Steph, I believe Gumbo will do great on the Nature's Variety! I could easily provide raw food from the grocery store but the medallions and patties are so convenient and have all the natural ingredients he needs.
FYI, I also add an entire organic egg, shell and all in Logan's kibble a few times a week.
If only Aus offered products like this! It's be so nice to be able to switch Biscuit's meals around (mainly when we are going out and are rushing to try and get her meal prepared!)
I make treats and find there are a lot of people out there who struggle with pet food allergies. I even had to design a special treat for a friend who has a dog that is allergic to everything... including people dander! I didn't even know that was possible! Glad there are so many more options these days... thanks for posting this info!
Good information, hope my pet's dentist approves of it. https:// smiletogo.com.au
