Got back from the vets

well i got back from the vets today and he said my guinea pig does have a detatched leg (the bone is sticking out from the ankle) he said we were to late and i dont know how or when it happened but he said the tendons and stuff already started healing over it he said they could do surgery cut the muscles and stuff and push it into place but he said it would be very costly and there could be a risk of infection he said she seems to be doing ok and he can poke around at it and she doesnt hurt just if your try to push it into place she squirms he said shes a very tough piggy and seems happy so now she will just have to live with a deformity.

wow that is one long sentence....*ahem* sorry, I got I'm glad the vet said your piggy will be okay. I know it's so scary when they're hurt and you feel like you can't do anything to help. It's great that your gp doesn't seem to feel much pain, all ready it's healing which is a great sign! maybe someone on here can recommend foods that help promote tissue growth?
