maybe if you pig proofed your room and had hides really close to you or out of your clothes so for her running around she runs up to you to feel safe id lay down really still or read so just your hands are moving and never towards her... let her watch you a really long time she will learn from your body language

It took one of my pigs 6 months not to run away when I came into the same room as him... I did everything - treats, cuddles, slow movements, free run, everything. Sometimes it just takes a lot of time.. I know every pig is different but that's a possibility. Just make sure you move slowly when you're around her and don't pick her up all the time. Sometimes just stop by her, say a few words and walk away every now and then so she doesn't feel she'll be in danger (picked up) whenever you're around

Bribe them with veggies.

Guinea pigs are prey animals, its instinct to run away from the big scary human. A couple of my girls still run, even though I have had them for over a year. Food is the best way to attract them to you. Sit on the floor when they have floor time. Let them climb on you, etc. It takes a long time to build trust, even then, they will still run.

Veggie bribing...yeah..it works! LOL!

Its gonna take some time for them to build trust..and even then..some will still run like Amber said...Harriette runs away from me only when she is in her cage and i try to get her. But when she is out she sticks to where i am. Twix is a runner in and out..he loves to popcorn all around the room as he is running away..very silly! I think he is just happy..not really running away from me. But when i take them outside to munch on dandelions they both stay close and will call to me if i walk off.

Lve Never Fails

I'd suggest the South Carolina Guinea Pig Rescue. They're our sister rescue, and they're overrun with guinea pigs. This area is awful in terms of GP overpopulation.

Theres your answer, lol! My dynimight will kill for treats, but my shy little Princess doesnt like when you look at her. If you dont look at your guinea pig that much or you act like you have your full attention on something else then they should be more comfortable around you!
