Question How to feed Critical Care??

As everyone knows by now I'm sure, Olivia has been quite sick and had a tooth planing for massive malocclusion just the other day. I've been feeding her CC for about a week now and have had nothing but trouble getting it thru the syringe into her mouth. It seems to build up some pressure inside the syringe, be it liquidy or more grainy. I've actually broken a few syringes trying to do this and have the hand bruises to prove it!!

How do you all feed CC? Certainly there's got to be an easier way than what I'm doing...

You could try the bird feeding syringes if you haven't already.

What is a bird syringe?

Where did you get your 10 cc syringe?

I've been working with 1 cc and 10 mL syringes. You mean you all don't have that suction/pressure problem with your syringes?

at times, I do, but not often and I don't get bruises!

I get my syringes from www.calvetsupply.com

I used a hard plastic, 14 CC syringe. I still have it and it works wonderfully.

I've been using the 10 cc and the 1 cc syringes, to no avail. I'm going to order some more from that website -- thanks for posting that link. It's fantastic!! I'll just cut the tips off.

My husband suggested I put a LOT of liquid in the CC and try it that way. Well, he was right! It's practically soup now and it sucks right up in the syringe and empties into her mouth just fine!

I'm hoping it's okay to have it that thin??
