I just got my newest Foster

I just got my newest foster, and the poor thing was severely neglected, the owners, she was surrendered to me, used cat litter for bedding and her water bottle was full of algae, and she just looked in bad shape, cage wise. They told me she was a he, but she is blatantly a she, and on closer inspection could possible be pregnant. I will monitor this week and see what I can come up with. She is currently housed with my other piggie, the one that was bullying my younger foster, (whom I re homed with her daddy yesterday YAY) but there seems to be no fights erupting with these too, maybe cause there both pregnant? don't know but, she, (haven't gotten a name yet) was really excited to be in a new clean cage, with toys, and fresh hay, and nice aspen bedding, I am glad that I have made a good temporary home for this piggie, till I can find her a permanent one! She also has only 3 toes on one of her back feet, i thought this was neat, I am taking her to the vet on Monday. she doesn't seem to have any noticeable problems so i put her in with my other piggie pearl.

I will post a picture of her sometime soon. She is really pretty though, I was thinking about calling her buttons

I am glad she is out of that situation.
My foster GP's were also in a bad cage/litter.
I wanna see some pictures!

However I just wanted to add...you shouldn't of put the new one with yours right away. There should be a quarantine period of 2-3 weeks.Just because she don't appear sick, doesn't mean she doesn't have anything.

They have already been exposed to any bacteria or parasites that the new pig has, there's no point in separating them now.

I took the new guinea pig out of the guinea pig run and put her in her own cage.
