Question Is it male or female? (pics included)

Its past owner told me it is female. But the face, curvy body and organs seem to me to be male. I have had it for 3 months now and it hasnt mated with my female guinea.

Any guinea experts who might know for sure?

It's hard to tell from those pictures, the only close-up shot is blurry. Is it possible to get a clearer, closeup shot? Face and bodyshape mean practically nothing in sexing.

try pressing around and see if anything pops out... It sounds gross, but its the best way to know. of course, if you've had her for 3 months and she doesn't have balls, she's probably a girl. 3 months is about 90 days, so if she's been with your other girl that whole time, and were a boy, your other girl would have probably had babies by now, their gestation period is around 72 days.

Thanks for the responses!

(sorry bout those pics... its the best I could do with a $10 camera keychain )

I thought maybe it hadnt mated with my female guinea due to its poor vision perhaps?

I'll have to try the squeezing technique.

Below are some profile pics. I named it S'mores - which could go either way.

If you're having trouble sexing your pups, let me refer you to Guinea Lynx. They have an excellent page on Sexing piggies as well as some pictures to help you.

Based on your information, my guess is that S'mores is a girl.
