Question Is my guinea pig crying?

We just moved my guinea pig from his old cage to a newer, bigger one. He started making loud, quick squealing noises that I've never heard him make before. Is it possible that he was crying?

Did he sound like a bird, (actual bird chirping) not the normal wheeks you are used to hearing? If so he was chirping because of the new cage and it's different.

I have a few pigs that do that if they hear something new, or are put in a new situation. It sounds like a bird from outside is stuck in your house. It is nothing to be afraid of, your pig is fine.

Inside me lives a skinny woman crying to get out. But I can usually shut her up with cookies.

He'll be fine! My piggies have chirped like birds twice. It was really weird.

I agree he will be fine just getting used to his new surroundings and from what you said could be squeals of joy, piggies do make all kinds of noises though so don't worry too much, the time to really worry is when they are silent
