New to guinea pigs. Please help!

I just got two guinea pigs yesterday. I know guinea pigs can be shy until they get to know you, but i cant help but worry about them. I gave them some brocholi (sp?) last night and when i came downstairs this morning they had eaten it, but they dont seem to have drunk any water, i have it in a gravity bottle and i cant remember what they had in the place i got them from. What if they dont know how to use the bottle? They dont seem to have drunk any of the water.
I would put a bowl in the cage but im not sure what kind to use and i dont want it to topple over. Please help!! Do you think they will drink?

Where did you get your guinea pigs from? Are you sure if they are both male or female? What age are they?

They know how to use a water bottle, don't worry. They are most likely just really scared right now, so they are spending a lot of time hiding. They will drink when they need to.

Do you have unlimited hay in the cage? They should never be without hay.

Read over these links... it will help you a lot.

Amber to the rescue!! She knows lotz about piggies! Here piggies live in piggie paradise..
She is right they are probably scared right now. They need some time to adjust to their new home.

Just a note..be careful with the broccoli. Its good for them but try not to give too much at one time. It can make them poopy..diarrhea, watery poopy. Same with iceberg lettuce.

Check out those links Amber posted. They are a big help.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the Broccoli, Good thinking Monique! Leafy lettuces such as romaine, green leaf, or redleaf are a good veggie to give. Broccoli should be a once in a while treat. Also make sure to introduce veggies slowly. Most likely you piggers haven't ever had any, so you don't want to upset their tummies by giving too much to soon. They should only get a cup of veggies each a day. Bell peppers are good to give everyday, they also supply a lot of Vit C.
