Nipping Problem

Jigs is a year and a half male. We've had him since he was 2 mos. old. When I hold him he stretches out, yawns & falls asleep in the crook of my arm. The problem iwith my son-when he holds him Jigs nips him. It's happened the past few times, not breaking the skin but very painful for an 8 yr. old. I am the primary handler and feeder. Any ideas? Solutions? Jigs is pretty laid back otherwise-not at all hyper

Speedy used to nip at me when I was younger too, then he stopped when I grew older (a teenager). I'm guessing it could be the way your son holds the pet, or the guinea pig just notices he's different than you, and might be afraid. I'm sry your son has to go through the pain of the nipping. I'm sure it will stop eventually, but for now I don't have any good advice on what you could do, sry.
