Unhappy URi's are horrible...

Lil'Red got sick so fast and she didn't show signs until it was too late. I sat up all night trying to get her to eat and drink and it took her anyway. Now her babies are orphaned and I feel so very sad! What a Christmas present! My poor baby! I miss her so much.

I can relate to what you are feeling. That is exactly how it went with Charlie Brown. Now I am enduring not only the painful loss, but the worry of watching all my pigs like a paranoid mother hen, afraid they will all come down with it. It can be so frighteni9ng if I dwell on it. Which is why I try to keep doing things and changing what I am doing so I keep my mind fully occupied. Except for the vigil to watch for signs of illness in the others, I try not to think too much about it at all.

Basically what I am trying to say is, My thoughts are with you through this trying time and I hope that you and the babies will make it through fine in the end. Kindest regards.

Thank you all so much. So far the babies are all very healthy and playful. The boys haven't shown any signs of illness either. Most of the girls are in another room. I wouldn't doubt if she caught the flu that I had. I tried to avoid her while I was ill, but I don't think I was vigilant enough. I think Moose my dog may have the flu as well. He has been coughing which is really weird for him, but it seems to have come on the same time we got sick.
Now that I'm healthy again I've been mother henning the babies to make sure they want for nothing and checking them all for any signs at all that would seem not quite right. I hate this!

Oh, Brenda...I'm so sorry for your loss. What a rotten thing to happen! Just remember that she's missing you, too, and looks forward to the two of you being reunited.

Oh, I am so sorry for your loss. I guess I should thank my lucky stars that I was able to get Patrick through it when he was a baby.
