2 free rats on craigslist- New Jersey

I can't post links because I don't have enough posts here, but it's 3869115931 if you search it on craigslist it should come up.. Maybe someone who can post links can copy

I came across an add on craigslist for 2 free rats that she has to get rid of because she is moving and emailed the person to make sure they wouldn't let them go or give them to someone as food if they couldn't find anyone to take them and then offered to help if it was a last resort, but it would be wonderful if someone looking for rats could take them. I have 13 of my own, but would obviously take them if it meant helping them. Just figured I'd try to get the word out on them.

This is so awesome of you to try to jump in and help these two ratties. I wish the woman did not have to give them up. I hate when that happens. I could never ever give up ratties that I have adopted, for any reason.

I was a bit worried when you said she had posted them as FREE on Craigslist, because that will bring out the snake people who want them as food. A person who really wants to adopt rats as loved pets will be willing to pay 10 or 20 dollars for them, and that can help weed out the sickos who want free rats for questionable purposes.

I hope these boys can find a good home. If not, are there any local rat rescues/small animal rescue places that could take them?
(my husband and I adopted our two boys from a local Seattle area rat rescue)

I wish these two rats the best and I hope they have a happy ending.

Yeah, I'm hoping they'll find a good home. If not, I will be their good home. It seems they are at least 2 1/2 year old females. I unfortunately don't think there are any rescues by me. If I was able to, I would have one open already, but that won't happen for a few years. I've always wanted an animal rescue. I actually found another post on craigslist straight up offering the rats as food.. 9 beautiful 6 week old rats.. it says pet rats/snake food in the title. It makes me so sad. I'm going to post that one up here too. Maybe someone somewhere can help them.

Oh my god, people are just evil. I would definitely post that "snake food" craigslist ad on some rat forums to see if there are any rat lovers/rescue folk in the New Jersey area or surrounding areas who may be able to take on some of these little guys.

One really good forum with rescue people on it is the Rat Shack and you could try posting on Brux N Boggle site too?
