4 weeks old!

My spiny mouse babies have reached 4 weeks old and they are weaned, but I have been getting conflicting info on when to move the males into thier own cage with their dad.

4 weeks is too young to move the babies away from mom (although many pet stores do). I would wait until the babies are 6 weeks old . That's usually the standard with responsible breeders.

I haven't heard of spinies reaching sexual maturity at four weeks so I think you're safe! But if you know any breeders, you could ask them, too . I'm not a breeder, after all, I just kept a few as pets.
