Unhappy allergy concern...help!

Well, I've had my mouse for a little over a year and she has been healthy this whole time. However, the past couple of weeks she has started sneezing all the time and wheezing a bit. I haven't changed a single thing in her cage, and I use carefresh bedding. I did open the windows a month ago because the weather is warm again, so I'm wondering if maybe she is suffering from allergies to outdoor related allergins blowing through the window? Does anyone else have this problem or have any ideas. I'm from a small town and our vet doesn't treat mice, so he's no help. Thanks for your time!!

It could be the start of a respitory infection (RI).

It does sound like an RI. Even if it is an allergy they can lead to an RI if untreated just like in people. Our vet doesn't treat rodents either but we asked him for recommendations and he gave us a few. If you have a good vet you trust then I would always suggest finding out who they would trust for things they don't treat.

Thank you so much! I actually took her to a vet I found in the city closest to me. She's taking some antibiotics now, but the vet said she is the most active mouse she has ever seen, even when sick . Thanks again for helping guys!
