Sigh...I am so sorry that you did not get more time with Apolla and Mariah, and such beautiful sweet faced girls. Just absolute dolls. Those tumors are just horrible. I wish ratties did not get those so easily.

Mariah and Apolla were so very lucky to have you for any period of time at all, so that is always good to think of. Such sweethearts. Rest easy and play hard pretty girls.

As always my sweet friend, I am glad that these girls came to you. No one would have love and cared for them so well. Shades of my girl Custard with those big tumors. It's so sad our babies have to get these things. They themselves never worry about it, and live their lives in a 'now of ratty thought'. As far as they were concerned you were their forever. And in that they had a beautiful life.

Thank you Story! I was so glad I finally reached these frightened girls just before they had to go in.

Shelagh,

I am so glad to hear that my posts can mean something to you when you lose one of your darlings.

I always think, "How can I possibly say anything that will help ease the hurt of losing a baby?" and it seems so futile to try to say something comforting, because I know how much it can hurt your heart when this happens.

So, anyway, I am so glad it helps a little bit. When we lost Klausse and Wolfgang, I was so devastated (and Marc too) as they were our very first two boys and we had never gone through the horrific sadness of losing rat kids. But seriously, the posts that everyone left on the forum (yours included) really did help, in so many ways.

It made it feel like Marc and I were not all alone in our sadness and that other people understood what we were going through. Support on this forum is so wonderful when the sad times come.
