Cool asking about bedding?

I saw something at petsmart that had" real rose parts" in it. Its by kaytee they have a mint scent and a lavander scent. I heard that somebody used it and their gp ate it and died. I was wondering if i could use it for my ratties and if the story was fake.

I have heard once in awhile that some people use that scented Kaytee bedding, but for the most part, rat people avoid anything scented like that, due to a rat's very sensitive respiratory system. I would play it safe and avoid anything scented like that. It is not needed. Also, of course, avoid pine bedding as well.

I would avoid anything scented as a general rule.

I had heard of a rat that got very sick from the addition of the lavender bedding...no real proof of it but it was the only new thing in its life.

I too stay away from scented products like that.
