Smile Buddy's in his new home

So my search for the perfect home for Buddy has ended. I've been talking with a lovely family for the last 8 days, and they came tonight to pick him up. They are such sweet people let me tell you! And they are experienced too. They've had ferrets and guinea pigs and gerbils oh my! lol. I'm so happy and confident in my selection of people, they really are great. The mom and her son (buddy's going to be his) came and stayed for about 20 minutes while I introduced them to each other. The boy (he's 13) Miguel just loves Buddy, its so cute. Apparently miguel has been reading all about rats all week, preparing himself. how cute is that?? I gave them an email anyways on the ins and outs of ratty care. the mom said miguel read my email and kept saying "oh yeah i read that!". so i know this is a good, kind, responsible family. I fully trust them and I really feel good about this. I guess I just can't say it enough, but I feel really good about this. Other than my allergies going haywire due to handling him the last 20 minutes, i'm great lol!!!!!

Aww, I'm so sorry you had to find him a new home, but I'm happy that he's going to a good place. Any thoughts about trying to get another? I wonder why he aggravated your allergies so much more than your other boys.

i really don't know why he got my allergies going so bad. for the meantime i'm just leaving things alone, spending more time with timmy, see how that works out. also my man pat (whom previously hated rats) is actually starting to enjoy him. even hand wrestled and tickled him! things are going okay

I haven't been here in a few days...so I am missing something. Why exactly did you have to find Buddy a new home?

Oh,I am sorry.
I knew someone who was allergic to female rats, but not male rats.To me that was weird,as males produce "buck grease" which can trigger allergies, while females do not procude that. But she could only have male rats.
