Bump?!

I took David out today, and noticed a bump on the right side of his face. It was hard for me to get a picture, (he's so fast!) so I just recorded a quick video. I did my best to touch it and see what it's consistency is, and it's hard. Kind of like what you'd feel when a hamster stuffs food in it's cheeks? ugh..this has me worried...

You put a baby in a crib with an apple and a rabbit. If it eats the rabbit and plays with the apple, I'll buy you a new car.

Oh no!
I have never seen that before!
I am going to say that you should probably get him looked at by a vet, as that could be an abscess and it could possibly be drained. Just keep watching him and see if it gets worse or better.

He's currently spinning on his wheel like a maniac. But that's normal for him!! He's acting normal. Luckily we did find a small animal vet, so that's good.

When your rat got a bump on its tummy (forgot which one it was) what did the vet do exactly? Because if he does have an abscess I assume they'd do the same thing?

She cleaned it first, then she took a sample of it (with a needle) and went to go look at it under the microscope to figure out what it was. Then she said that it was an abscess and she removed it with a surgery.
It was a little pricey in the end but she is just fine now and was on an antibiotic for 2 weeks.

But since his is so small they might be able to drain it out

Aww poor little guy! I hope is is just an abcess that they'll be able to drain! He's such a handsome little guy! Very active!
