Can you introduce rats?

So, I've recently taken in a female rat. She's about 5-6 months old, very friendly. She belonged to someone [whom I found on the internet, lol.] who had her for their python, but their python went into the hibernating stage so it wasn't interested in her. [woooo!]
Now, I definately know that rats love their ratty company, but the only pairs of rats I've ever had were bought at the same time, so were therefore already together and I never had to introduce them...

Can another female be introduced to her though? Any tips on it?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, rats take incomers very well. Making sure there is ample room in the cage will pretty much eliminate scuffles. You can also intro them in a neutral area. Very rarely do you have an aggressive rat, as they prefer social living.
