Question dilema, Need rat lover in NC

Ok, so my wonderful friend, dumped her sweet rat on me, I know nothing about rats, all I know is that my friend gave the rat to me in a 5 gallon aquarium, and I know that was too small. So I moved her to another cage.

I am wondering if there is anyone in NC that might want her. I am not aloud rats in my neighboorhood, (gotta love housing associations) so I am limited on time. My friend just left for the military, and failed to mention the rat till she brought it over at the last minute. She said she didnt want to take it to the pound so handed it over to me. now I dont know what to do with her/him.

Help?

Do you know what sex the rat is, or how old it is?

We are as gods to the beasts of the fields. We order the time o' their birth and the time o' their death. Between times, we ha' a duty. - Terry Pratchett.

"Men have forgotten this truth", said the fox, "But you must not forget it. You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed. - Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

I live in North Carolina and have two female rats of my own and would love to take her, but my parents would definately not let me. I'm sorry! I wish I could help.
