FINALLY! Grotto and rat pics :)

We just finished the grotto the other day, here is what it looks like (ps i dont want to mess this up i dont know the html this takes so ill just put links.)
http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=65y4d0&s=5
(all the mess is from the food bowl they tipped over. and yes those are my boys at the bottom )

(the bottom where the litter box is. they're both eating treats and for some reason schubert likes to eat in the litter box. pure man, huh?)

(middle where they tipped over the food and you can see brigsby tried to do some remodeling with his snack hut.)

(what my boyfriend refers to as the 'party room'. we are going to put hammocks here as soon as we're done making them.)

and for the boys!

They probably will crawl out of the bottom, but rats don't have good eyesight so by a rule they won't jump or drop down anywhere, because they literally cannot see where they're jumping to.

Nice cage. If you have spare cash, line the walls with a 6"-8" wide strip of aluminum flashing to prevent them chewing out.

haha we have a door so no they dont jump out whenever we have the door open they like to get out and crawl around my room (its rat proof no worries) but other than that they loveee the cage. at first they were horrified and i about cried but my boyfriend convinced me that i just had to let them get used to it, and they have!

as for the aluminum flashing, do you know how much that is? im sure we could save up for it. they havent done any chewing as of lately except for the ladders (which cost us two bucks and we have four ladders made) but i want to do something like that just incase.

and as for miss kitty im sorry you can't have her shes my best friend and shed probably be afriad of you anyways she doesnt warm kindly to others. but she says "meow" for the compliment.

Maybe my rat was just adventurous but she would jump down to anywhere!

no worries we have a door. we have foam tape around it so they dont crawl out the side and the wire we bought to put on it is too small to put a water bottle in so we had to drill a hole in the side of the cage and put the water bottle there. but yes i didnt take a picture with the door because thats not the most interesting thing
