First intro went great!

Okay, Boris (hairless rescue) is doing much better and has completed his antibiotic so yesterday I began introductions between him and our little dumbo, Figaro, that we got to be Boris's buddy/living blanket. I was nervous at first because they've both been living on their own for several weeks now, but you couldn't ask for a better intro.

I started by just putting them both on the couch for about ten minutes, and they were great! There was no being scared or being aggressive or being territorial at all. They just went straight to grooming eachother and cuddling. I guess that just goes to show how much they've both really missed companionship. Figaro just laid down and let Boris dutifully wash his little face for like five minutes strait. Boris is such a good rattie big brother! Now I'm just going to do a few more brief intro periods and then probably put them in the same cage this weekend. I'll be so glad when they're living together and happy the way ratties should be.

Yeah I know I could probably go ahead and put them together. The main reason I'm waiting for the weekend is I have a big cage I want to put them in that's gathered a lot of dust in storage and I have to have time to clean it really well and set it up before I put them together, definitely this weekend though. They've been solitary rats far too long.
