Is a heated cat bed good for rats?

It can get a bit cold in my room so I was wondering if heated cat beds are suitable for rats (if the cords are protected, of course). My rats do not chew on their beds, so I don't think I'll have a problem with that one.
I know on that one website that you can make a beanbag sort of thing and put it in the microwave but it can get colder when I'm asleep and my boys don't really do anything but lounge anyways and occasionally tussle.
Also, I have a sneaky suspicion that my best friend is buying me a hairless rat for my birthday, and I know they need to stay warm.

I personally wouldn't risk it because rats do chew. Even if they haven't chewed beds before this one, they would only have to chew this one once to be potentially dangerous. They make snuggle discs for animals that will stay warm for 12 hours at the time.

I saw those but of course, I didn't take the time to read how long they lasted! That sounds like a good idea, maybe I'll have my store special order me a few. [:

How cold does your room get? I think just putting the cage out of a drafty place and loading it up with fleece scraps would be fine.

Rats regulate body heat through their tail. Touch their tail and if it's cold they are probably cold too.

I'm not really sure if a heated bed would be good for rats. I've sold them at a pet store that I worked at and they get pretty hot. It's basically just a padded heating pad. I would hate to think something bad happened to your pet rats because it was too hot.
