Question How many MiCE can live in this cage?

Yes,still trying to upgrade my mice habitat.
I don't want an aquarium topper now as I am using my aquarium [:

So...providing Martin's is willing to make the spaces 1/2 x 1/2 for me [like they were going to do if I wanted the aquarium topper]
I am looking at this cage ....

The Rat Retreat (R-685)

* 30" x 18" x 24"
* 3½" drop in style plastic pan
* 2 full levels
* Ramps with small landing in between so ramp isn't steep
* Front door for access to bottom level
* Full flip-top lid for easy access to top level

How many mice could I house in such a cage? They have lots of toys,but five females? [eventually I want more mice] I own 2 currently.

honestly i wouldnt put more than four max, bc they would be cramped...but two are so would be fine and you could even make the top a full floor, when i get cages i usually turn them into full floors to give my guys more running room or set structures that they can climb on

I'd think it'd house more than four mice, since it'll house 3 rats according to the cage calculator I use...

I would say about 8 mice. I have 7 males in cage a little smaller than that untill they are big enough not to be able to squeeze through the cage I usually use for males.

You said you wanted 5 mice? I think it would house 5 mice pretty well. Especially females. I have 3 in a 10 gallon tank and that's kinda pushing it. I think 5 would be fine since there are levels.
