I got new mice!

I got mice....my first ever (as an adult) all girls, their names are Athena, Hera, Andromeda, and Medusa. I got them this cage...

http://www.amazon.com/M-Cyber-Space-.../dp/B0002DIZAM

I figure that will be big enough for them now, and add on if they need space later!

Do mice need baths?

No, mice do a pretty good job at keeping themselves clean if they do get something on them take a luke warm wash cloth and gently rub them with it

I like the name Belladonna, it's actually part of my e-mail address!

I don't think the lady at the pet store (I know shame on me!) cared that I was keeping them as pets, or buying for food. She did keep trying to sell me a Greater Jardine Parrot for $900. So she wasn't so much into telling me how rats and mice differ. I did get them some food, and a water bottle!
They are kinda shy, but think that they should be Ok in a few days!

I am glad for you mice I cant wiat to see pictures. I hate when I go into pet stores to get bedding or suplys or any store and the sales people their are trying to talk you in to getting everything.
they should be calmb in a few more days give them some time. I had a hara and and athena once. They pased of old age though long ago. you can bath them if you want or do like with rats give them a little dish with peas in it. I have just filled the sink up though with some rocks and things to clim on wiht warm water not that deep and let them play. But I bath all my critters excet the hamsters and the gerbils the gerbils get dust baths and hamsters are not supose to get wet although I have whiped them off befor with a rag and made shure they were dry after words but that was my old lady gweniver who decited that she was gonna crawl in the bowl of apple suase. granted it was gone but their was enough in their to get it on her.
Mice to me seem to be more like cats like the attechen but with a cage mate or 2 they are happly content, males like to live alone I have had luck with houseing them but not always.

I think you are in the wrong place buddy.
You are the weirdest cat I ever seen.
Now matter how big or small wierd or normal we or animals may be we can learn to love and get along and love is what makes it all worth wild. Becuase Beautie is in the eye of the beholder an no one is ugly or more prettyer then anything eals we are all equal. There are some ugly people and things but that is becuase man kind makes them this way do to thier actions.
