Talking I'm back...with rats!

Boy and am I excited! I have been busy with school and all and have not had rats in the fam for about 3 years. Sweetie and Butterz (the dogs) passed away within that 3 years and I'm now down to Peaches (the English Bulldog). So of course, my family seemed a little lonely, but hey! We tried to make the best of it. Well for Christmas this year I am back with my parents and Santa came (boy I do love him!) and my mom told me that some things fell behind the couch where I see.... A HAIRLESS rat!!! I was so so excited! I have always wanted a hairless! So right now, I have one lone rat, which I know is a no no, but my mom did the best she can do. So I am off tomorrow (hopefully!) to pick up another boy
His name is Wrinkles. He is only 6 months old, so still a youngin'!
My mom has had him for three days, and I did not know he has been alone so I felt terrible, but you think he should be fine for at least another day or two, no?
I will try and get pictures when he is a little more comfortable. He is a very sweet boy, but a little skiddish.
I have been reading like crazy about hairless rats this morning and read that I should clean their cage everyday? Any other information about hairless boys I should know?
Thanks guys, glad to be back

CongRATS.

First off,no you do not need to clean the cage daily unless it is rank. With one to two rats, that should not be an issue.1-2 times a week is fine with one or two rats.

Also don't worry,he won't die from being left alone. Some rats do better alone,so don't worry. He will be fine until you can get him a buddy.

Their care is the same as furred rats, except they need to be kept warmer...my hairless babies loved fleece (I used to have 3 hairless boys) and they eat more then furred babies,as they have a higher metabolism.

Also they are more prone to cuts and scrapes, but they heal quickly.
