into the cage we go....

seeing as the second meetig went SO well, i decided to try putting them in the babies' cage together. i'm sitting outside the cage now to keep a close eye on them.

when they went in they were great, no fights, no territorial scuffles. then after a short while kim went and sat in the hammock and has only moved once since. maybe it wasn't washed well enough and still has her scent on it so she went there. anyway. belle went up to get some food (which is right nex to the hammock) and kim ignored her like she ignores everything. then belle went to see what kim was doing. kim grabbed belle by the scruff of the neck then let go when i moved closer. there was no blood, so i think it was a dominance thing. after that kim went down to the bottom of the cage to find belle and then did that thing where they scuffle and try to pin them on each other's backs. it looked a little brutal, but again, no blood, so no foul, right?

right now kim's hanging out at the top of the cage and the babies are at the bottom of the cage.

and just before i pushed the post button, kim started humping belle, which was quite humourous.

do you guys reckon it's time i took kim out of there now? or should i let them sort it out? i am keeping a close eye on them.

If it went so well the first time, I would leave them in there for a while. They seem to be doing well together if all you've got is humping. They'll be ready to move in together in no time!
