Maggie nipped at me!

I had the mice out in their new playpen (pictures later ) and when I was picking the mice up to put back into their cage Maggie nipped at me! She lightly nipped at my wrist and then put her mouth on thumb. I squeaked and she did it again but a bit harder. I have NEVER been nipped at by Maggie or Maya before! I have rarely been bitten by a mouse and only once or twice did it break skin. I don't know what got into her! Any ideas? Thanks

What was the nip like? Was it like she wanted to taste you or more like an aggressive nip?

There could of been something that startled her or you could of had food on your hands.Sorcha is my only mouse that nips/bites...but she does it all the time,as she is very territorial.

I think it was just more of a taste bite, but I had JUST washed my hands right before I went in there to pick them up.
