Moog and Wilja , the 1st encounter

= ^ _ ^ =

I thought I would show everyone some more mouse pics , I have'nt showed my Female mouse Wilja off as yet.

The other day I did a spring clean of Moog and Wilja's Bio domes and they had a close encouter in a wooden box with a plastic sliding cover that used to be a Port and Stilton container.

As soon as they were together and I put the male in last , it was all meet and greet and he was washing and grooming Wilja's fur , Moog is a younger mouse than Wilja and I can just tell them apart because Moog has longer feet than Wilja and he is very slightly darker in colouration as well as being smaller.

Wilja being on the left and Moog on the right on this occasion.

Moog and Wilja's first blind date.

Thisis Wilja's Bio dome as I call it on the left the square tank and Moogs tank on the left of which is longer but shallower and to Portuguese tiles with a marble siliconed on for a handle.

Wilja on top of her wooden log cottage in her cubic bio dome , if a dome can be cube shaped , this being shortly after refitting.

And this is Moog on top of his Wooden log cottage of which is a corner fitting cabin , his food bowl now away from his water so he does'nt get his dinner wet , also Moog has a habbit of covering his food up with Straw.

They are cute and were made known to me to be Standard smooth but I suppose you are right about Deer , looks about the right colour but they do have a grey underbelly.

Never had mice before but they are adorable , however I dont see them much because they spend most of there time hidden.

= ^ ~ ^ =

Hmm breeding ? , I dont know and I am not sure if I have the space , I would like to get a larger tank with the metal mesh on top so that is drier in there , how can you put them in a cage surely they are too small.

I am not sure how old the female is , I think she is till young but Moog is younger still and he is slightly smaller than Wilja

Hey Turkeyman you and I are of a rare species in PT.

Ohh okay, so they're still too young to mate then? That's cool =].

And yes we are quite rare around here aren't we? *looks around*

Oh they can breed now,if you leave them together! Mice can breed as young as 5 weeks old.

Yes the Bio dome as I call it is a good idea but unfortunately the air circulation in there is none too good , what with that bowl of water it sometimes gets spilt on the wood shavings and they tramp it everywhere , especialy Moog.

They are old enough to breed I just dont think I have the room for any more lil mousey's at the moment.

I cant be sure ifthe mousey's are in love becausethe have only met the once so far.
