Mouse breeding adventure

I never thought I'd give it a try. I didn't even really like mice after I got my two first males. And after 3 months they started trying to kill each other...They weren't much fun, but..pretty tame, and pretty silkies. Well they were alone and pretty much miserable. Nothing much I could do, I can give them a few toys to keep them busy for a couple hours, but then what?
So I decieded to look up mouse behaviour to find out what mice did to keep themselves busy in the wild. Well I came across something different and it suggested infertile females for males you don't want to breed. Genius idea. Except..how do you pick one old enough not to give birth o.O
After some researching I got no answer, I check a couple of pets stores and they denied having any old mothers (becuase *gasp* they certainly don't breed mice in the back, liars, they're a reptile store, o course they do.)
Well I settled for some pretty girls, which I tried to pick the oldest.but alas. Well after spending some time with them, I absoutly adore the girlies. They're so sweet and gentle, but have such big personalties for such little things. I came to terms that they probably will have babies and lined up three homes for the offspring. The idea being that I'll keep the sons with the fathers and hopefully they won't feel like killing each other.

So far I hadn't named the kinked long tailed one (not heridtery, she has a long tail plus loves the wheel) But I want a royal name to let everyone know she runs the house (help is appreciated with this =3 )
Her and Boss are finally getting along great, Boss has learned he needs to wine and dine her first ;D
My second one is black with white splotches I named her Madam Bell Cow. She's very cute, but a little more timid then the other. Also she dislikes her guy and refuses to let him near her. Well he hasn't learned to woo first. *update: Madam Bell Cow is actually sleeping next to her guy now, yea!*

I'm wondering how the pups will turn out. The males genes have white with orange splotch as well as sliver splotch, and also have been known to produce the tri color, although I don't know if they themselves carry it. And they all have the metallic sheen to their fur.
The girls are unknown o_o Although both of their coats are whispy.
Photobucket isn't working so I'ma use my DA account

Cute mice you have there!

I don't agree with breeding mice that you do not know the genetics of,I really don't.But instead of telling you off about it,as you said you have researched,so you should know that breeding mice with unknown backgrounds can cause problems.I am just gonna wish you good luck and hopefully the babies turn out okay!

i also agree with not starting breeding with genetics you dont know.. but it sounds like you are just breeding once for compainions for your male mice and not trying to start being a breeder. so you better post thoses baby pictures!

OH! and you are going to have to seperate the dad right away because i think mice can breed right after giving birth? and wait to introduce them later...
