I don't do good with rats, well, I wouldn't put it that way, but I've never had a rat, so the best advice [from me] is to love them

Be patient, they are intelligent and playful, cheap and easy to look after, and sometimes mor fun to have around than people!! Enjoy!

My advice to bond with them is to handle them every day, whether they seem to like it or not. Keep the sessions short at first and always try to make it a positive experience with treats.

once they know that you give them food they'll love you forever.

and one other thing i've learned over the past year is that if you have any books by george orwell, put them away.

I'm not sure what George Orwell has to do with rats, but I've had them for a few years now and all I can say is that they love treats. Don't give them too many but it's a good way to get them to bond with you.

i've figured my girls hate george orwell books, every copy of animal i have has been destroyed and now theyre moving on through 1984.

try hiding things in their cages for them to find.

for ideas, you could always look at the dapper rat site. i cant remember the exact link, but google dapper rat and you'll find it. it has loads of ideas on there and ways to save money with toys etc

they are allready super socilized and love me the second i go in there they want to come out (except Fauna) but even Fauan loves to be petted so everyday i've gone in the room talking to them petting them giveing them some treats i've done a load of resurch before taking them home and also known a lot of people who have owned them before as well.

Spot on! You can't go wrong, you have done everything I did when I first started all those years ago, you will never look back, apart from to say 'How did I ever live without my Ratty friends!' :-) Any questions about anything Ratty and the nice people who use this forum will have an answer for you....
