Thumbs up My mouse hammock! (:

So yes, I made a mouse hammock! It is a corner hammock, so it takes up a lot less space! They love it so much (although they have chewed on it ) It was so easy to make! And really cheap too.

Materials-
  • fleece in desired color

  • Double fold Bias Tape

  • Sewing Machine
[Of course you wouldn't really have to sew it together, but it was very easy!]

First of all I cut a triangle of fabric.

Then I sewed the bias tape around the edge of the fabric. I used pins to hold it in place.

After I was done with that I sewed a little lop onto each corner so that I could stick it to the aquarium (with suction cups.)

That's it! All done!! See how easy that is?

I sewed a little rope on the end, just for something for my mice to climb on

This is the bigger one that I made...

Giving it a test. "Wow what is this cool thing?"

A little scared at first...

And when it fell down, they burrowed underneath (:

Thanks! They don't chew on the yellow part, only the purple and that's why it keeps falling down. I am going to fix it today. You can use old dish towels and things like that too and then it won't be wasting money to make something that destroy.

I just noticed how my cage is all color coordinated. Haha, not even on purpose!

That's snazzy, CrWoody! You obviously spent a lot of time on it, and it shows! If I had a sewing machine I'd give it a try. Your mousey's look so adorable snuggled underneath it.
