Oh No!

Things are very crazy now...two people want me to take rats.I will have to turn one down.

One girl has two rats and they are siblings of my rescue,Candy and Melissa's (CandyRaver) two ratties. So I know for a fact these rats NEED a new home,as they are being kept on pine and probably not getting much handling...like their sisters.

The other girl actually has one of my ratlets from the last litter I had and for some reason (I never found out why yet) she has to get rid of all her small animals (3 rats, guinea pig,rabbits...etc).

I am definatly taking back my ratlet (the one I sold misses) as I take back my rats if for any reason the owners cannot keep them.

However I dunno if I will be taking any of the others.I CAN...but I have recently took in Paco and Goober and was hoping to breed one of my girls with a breeder's stud rex rat...but looks like my plans may have to change a bit.Only because of space in the "animal room".The cages take up loads of space.I really think I will have to turn people away from now on...at least for awhile.I am kinda running out of cage room,as I just mentioned.I do wanna move out soon, hopefully to a place with more room.

Makes me sad, because there are no rat rescues or small animal rescues around here. This is why I NEED to start one.I guess I can take in these rats and foster them, find a new home for them after I deal with any problems they may have.Or I can just say NO...which I am prolly gonna have to do!

Some people try to take advantage of another animal lover's kindness.
If I lived closer I could definately take some in I'm all for the starting your own rescue idea.
The government might be able to help with the rescue idea as it is pretty much a public service? I wonder...
How do shelters start up?
Rainforest pets takes in reptiles right? How did they start that up...?
We have to find out,I'll definately help out !

I really dunoo how to start it.Of course I took in rats many times, but to start a rescue...I would need funding and donations.

Rainforest Pets is a bad place! They USED to be an exotic pet store and whatnot. But Kjaerstin worked there and I found out some stuff...they were really bad.Kjaerstin and a few other people I know had to rescue the reptiles FROM them!

Well I would say not to take them cause people will take advantage of your kindness and will push you to take in more and more rats. Maybe you can do a rescue when you move and then start doing fundraisers, etc...like beagle paws does and you know a lot about them and how to fund raise. Like a bunch of bins plus brochures and info for business to raise it so you can give rats a second chance.
