Peony? ??? - November 7, 2010

So much for worrying about Shasta, it seems Peony was the one I should've been worrying about. She and her sister were so tiny when they arrived, and really never grew much at all, so I have no clue how old they were, or if they aged faster or how long a mouse's life span is normally.

Peony was the little darling, who was handleable. Later on she decided to amend that and would shriek like a banshee if anyone tried to touch her. LOLOL...My little Princess.
She and Mini the natal rat were so in love with each other, you would think they were the same species. Where's Peony? Just look for Mini LOL

Such a brave little mouser

Peony and Shasta

Peony and Shasta again...they were reunited after Peony had to live with injured Macy until she recovered. Peony was so gentle and kind with Macy that it was the obvious choice.

Checking out the Cottage...she lived inside the house with Mini for ages

Then I started giving them hammocks

and especially pocket hammies, they would usually all pile in.
Mini sleeping next to her dear friend Peony the other day.

Mini and her meecey friends shall all miss her.

Do you mean the last pic? That's a natal rat or an african soft-furred rat (ASF). They usually do not make good pets (they bite very hard) but Mini is different.

Lilspaz,
I just saw your post and I am so sorry about Peony.

Your pictures were just beautiful and it was so nice to learn about Peony's sweet nature by your comments and the photos as well. What a beautiful girl.

Play and have fun little Peony.

Oh, I'm so sad to hear about Peony! She was so lovely, and so obviously loved by her friends. I hope Mini will be ok without her pal. Rest in peace, Peony.
