Talking Photos! Exploding Mouse.

That is not a rat, but a VERY pregnant mouse! She may have had the litter since I took this earlier today; if not, she may have exploded!

Girl from earlier litter

I do not breed. The pet store I know got in too many from a breeder, so I grabbed all the females (five total including the mom) leaving the males. Any more litters and they likely would have ended up sadly. (You know what I mean).

You tell me. I figured today! How much bigger can she get??

There are only females in the bin. I haven't checked it in six hours. If I see babies I will try to take a photo but it will be hard as she seems to be prone to nesting in a little box with a roof.

Red face

Yes, I have heard they get tremendous!

Mine still has not given birth.

BTW, I held that one by the tail only for the two seconds it took to snap the photo.

Poor girl looks as if she's swallowed an orange whole!

Good luck with the little ones.

Thumbs up

She got even bigger in the days after those photos were taken!

But. . . the babies are here! I assume they were born last night, and the mom I can barely recognize - I have to look over markings as she is now the same size as her sisters. Sadly, one sister of the original five, was found dead today; natural causes I assume.

Mom on the right.

Note: I do not breed. She came pregnant from the pet store where they seemed over stocked.

Oh, I'm keeping them all.
