Question Please Help Me

Hi I'm Ash and New here also I'm new to keeping a mouse so like most people I went and bought everything that I read about and was told I would need

but after setting up my mouse house, food, water, salt lick and toys etc

I woke up this morning to a mouse sitting on the only dry thing it had a little knitted bed I made for it
(I say it as I have not thought of a name for him just yet) so I was like what went wrong then I noticed the water bottle was dripping from the silver nozzle

so now I'm like is that meant to be dripping rapidly or even meant to be dripping without the mouse touching it? Can you please HELP me by telling me how these bottles are meant to work and if you think it wise I buy a replacement ?

Thank you From Ash

The bottle should not be dripping constantly.

I fill mine to the top, turn them up the right way, give it a shake, do a ball check to make sure water iwill come out when the mouse drinks.

If your will not stop dripping, i'd get a new one

What kind of water bottle is it?

Fill it completely to the top until it is over flowing, put on the cap and flip it over...then take your finger and tap the ball to get the vacuum thing going, USUALLY that works...sometimes the water bottle is just crappy so you might need a new one.

Also check to make sure the mousie didn't chew the water bottle. I have had that happen before also.
