pocket training

anyone ever considered/tried pocket training your rats?

i've got a jacket with pockets big enough to comfortably fit kim in, so i decided to pocket train her. now it makes it easy to take her round the house without the dogs or cat knowing she's there, or if they do, they can't get to her. it's also good for taking her to the vets. she just sits in the pocket, unless i sit down, then she crawls out to see what's going on.

i'll try and put some photos up tomorrow.

I often carry my rats around in my hoody pocket or the hood of my hoody. They love it! It is cozy, safe and warm for them and also helps with bonding!

I wish I was a rat in a warm pocket sometimes!

Mine LOVE pockets. And they look so cute when they peek out. I can't wait to see some photos.

best wishes! my timmy hates pockets and hoods, he's MUCH rather I just hold him in my arms, be on my shoulder or on my lap. he can be such a pup, and he's definitely a super sucky boy. loves the one on one attention, lies there like a dog!
