poor Watson (head tilt)

We just got back from the vet. Watson's head has been tilted since thursday. I called the vet friday morning, and this afternoon was the soonest we could get him in. I thought it was a simple ear infection, but was worried sick about him. Well, his ears are fine. Its his brain. We can't get a precise diagnosis without an MRI, but we are treating him for the two treatable possibilities- a bacterial infection (baytril) and E. cuniculi, a protozoal parasite (panacur). Hopefully that will clear it up, but its possible it was an anurism or something else. He might have the head tilt permanently, but we are hoping we can treat what's causing it, and hoping it will become less severe.
Watson is my little baby monkey... He's got the biggest personality of all the rats I've had, and i'm absolutely devastated. I know we are doing our best, but I'm worried that it won't be enough, that he won't make it...

he's on his meds for two weeks... i'm not sure what to be looking for to see if the meds are working, as she said the head tilt will most likely be permanent, and he's not displaying any other symptoms...

He took his meds really well this morning. he was terrible at the vet, but i think that was because he wanted to go out and explore everything. i have to look into any side effects of the meds, i don' t want to confuse side effects with possible new symptoms if he starts acting weird.

His personality is still normal, he's always been a silly clumsy little monkey... I'm really hoping that the head tilt gets better, its got to be disorienting for the little guy. if it stays this bad, well, i don't want to think about that right now.

it doesn't look like the meds are working. The tilt isn't improving, and he's been drastically losing weight... I don't think he'll make it to the end of the week. And now his brother is being super dominant, keeps picking on him... I won't feel comfortable getting a new pal for mycroft, because i'm afraid he's going to be too much of a bully...
