pregnant mice

Remeber the post about inbreeding? The two females that I had their brother's cage are pregnant. I guess I didnt take them out soon enough. The babies will be second generation inbred. I think they are due in another week, since the moms are starting to expand. The only thing I can think of to help is to feed them lots of protien, like nuts or eggs. I want to do all I can to make sure the babies arnt weak. Does anyone have any other suggestions? I have enough cages for the babies, so thats not a problem.

Well...I hope that the mothers have a smooth pregnacy/labor and delivery and the young are okay.

Make sure the mothers get a high protein/fat diet during nursing!

Good luck!
