I think you would like ratties because they are playful like ferrets. They also lay on hammocks like ferrets. Remember, if your parents give in, you can't just get one. You have to get at least two ratties because they don't like being alone.

They are living lin luxury!

I have all the main groups of rodents here, now that I adopted two GP's: mice, dwarfs, Syrians, gerbils, and a rabbit (OK, a lagomorph. I wish I had room for rats. Some people talk about too many health issues, or that they can gnaw the bars so much they eventually cause metal fatgue breaking the bar. (?). True?

I suppose when you let them out they come back home eventually, as my rabbit does?
