Hi! I'm new to the forum, and could use some advice. I have a 2 year old female mouse named "O". She started scratching herself and drinking an excessive amount of water about two months ago. I read (on this forum and online) that I could try Benadryl in her water and put triple antibiotic, hydrocortisone and tee tree oil on topically. She stopped drinking excessive amounts of water and seemed to be getting better, but I've noticed she is scratching again and I'm not sure if I should just take her to the vet or if there is something I can do for her at home? I did change her bedding source but have not changed her food. I don't think it's mites, but I'm basing that on the fact that her scratching seems to be mostly by her neck, not all over.
Thanks so much for your help!
Sarah
